Ski Taos

Taos Ski Valley

Over 300 inches of snow cover Taos Ski Valley every year, making for the perfect conditions to enjoy its 110 trails, two terrain parks and numerous slopes for both beginners and experienced skiers. This resort-style ski area is also known for the high quality instructors at its snowsports school, along with its adult, children and adaptive programs. Everyone’s needs are accommodated at Taos Ski Valley, just 25 minutes away from Gem Hacienda. Most importantly, despite offering some of the ski action in town, the slopes of this ski resort are never crowded.

Angel Fire Ski Resort

Located only 35 minutes away from Gem Hacienda, Angel Fire Ski Resort is the place to be for families. With 80 trails and three terrain parks, Angel Fire caters to families with a relaxing atmosphere that makes kids feel welcome. Younger guests will definitely enjoy the snow tubing and sledding, but other activities include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and night skiing.

 

Red River Ski & Summer Area

Operating as a family business for over 60 years, Red River Ski & Summer Area is a classic New Mexican ski resort, proud of its history. Red River is surrounded by the Southern Rockies and situated along the scenic Enchanted Circle Drive, gifting skiers and snowboarders with stunning views while they zoom down the slopes. Sipapu is Northern New Mexico’s oldest ski resort, serving up family fun for locals and travelers alike since 1952. A short 30-minute drive from Gem Hacienda brings guests to the heart of this powdery paradise for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels. With over 40 trails, five lifts, and three terrain parks, running out of things to do at Sipapu is nearly impossible.
